Effect of Anesthesia and Hepatic Sampling Site Upon Hepatic Blood Flow

Abstract
Pentobarbital sodium (30 mg/kg) did not significantly alter the estimated hepatic blood flow of the dog, but did initially decrease the arterial-hepatic venous oxygen difference. Hepatic venous samples obtained simultaneously from the right and left side of the liver did not on the average show significant differences in bromsulphalein concentration, oxygen content or hematocrit.
