Abstract
Azolla has been used as a green manure for rice in Vietnam and southern China (3). Recently it was adopted by farmers in the Koronadal area in South Cotabato Province, the Philippines (2). In that area Azolla pinnata grows reasonably well without phosphate fertilizer, which is generally used for stimulating Azolla growth (3, 5).Keywords
