Abstract
This paper gives the results of an ELISA test for Strongyloides stercoralis antibodies in a group of 436 ex Far East Prisoners of War (FEPOWs). Antigen was obtained from third-stage larvae of Strongyloides cebus. Sensitivity of the test is 97%, with a specificity of99%. The test is being investigated further as regards cross-reactions with other helminths, but initial results look promising. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
