Abstract
The method of determination of the three main components of the electric permittivity tensor, e, in chiral smectics C was proposed. To illustrate the method we measured the electric permittivity for the ferroelectric smectic DOBAMBC in the SmC and SmA phases and calculated the components of ∊-tensor as a function of temperature. Keywords
