Abstract
The author proposes a frame-based, Handshake-Aloha protocol suitable for CDMA wireless LANs. Performance evaluation using a continuous-time Markov chain and Poisson error models shows that both the data and voice throughput are significantly improved, compared to the pure Aloha protocol. Keywords
