Abstract
D. marginatus is widely spread in S Germany. Adult ticks feed mainly on sheep. D. reticulatus is 1st described from Germany where it occurs endemic in a limited forest area on red deer. The 2 tick species are known from neighboring countries of Germany as transmitters of virus, rickettsiae, bacteria and protozoa but are not yet well studied in Germany. Geographical distribution and seasonal occurrence of D. marginatus indicates the role of the tick in the epidemiology of Q fever in Germany. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
