Abstract
A case is reported of a transitory decrease in hearing after an ordinary lumbar puncture. The symptoms and clinical investigations suggest a cochlear hydrops, presumably originating from a decreased fluid pressure in the subarachnoid space. The aqueduct of the cochlea is thought to be the transmitter of the decreased fluid pressure to the perilymph of the labyrinth. Keywords
