Abstract
Our clinical experiences using methandrostenolone (Dianabol) as a supplement to corticosteroid for rheumatoid arthritis have been presented. A group of steroid intoxicated patients tolerated a reduction in corticosteroid dose, showed less hypercorticism and yet maintained their functional capacity. Another group of stable, moderate dosage, clinic patients were followed with Lansbury's systemic index. These patients had a lower Lansbury index (less inflammation) and lower corticosteroid doses following the addition of methandrostenolone. Keywords
