Abstract
And immediate ambulation. The same factors warrant its use in a broad spectrum of patients. Excisional surgery, where indicated, was combined with cryodestruction in a single operative session. The postoperative course in these patients was less painful than might be anticipated. A nitrous-oxide-cooled cryoprobe (KRY-med) with nonelectric defrost action was successfully used in the destruction of hemorrhoids, fissure-in-ano, condylomas, and fibroepithelial anal polyps in 142 of 145 patients. Complications were minimal. © Williams & Wilkins 1975. All Rights Reserved....Keywords
