Abstract
There is an increasing demand for more accurate surface metrology instruments and for techniques which will allow complicated or large parts to be measured in situ. An analysis is presented of existing and new multi-orientation and multiprobe techniques and it is shown how they can be used to remove systematic and variable errors. Keywords
