Abstract
The fluoride saturation rate of coarsely granulated human enamel was ascertained using an aqueous 1 mg. % NaF soln. Maximum saturation is attained in 60 min. while in 20 min. approx. 40% saturation was attained when 5 g. of enamel was exposed to 200 ml. of this NaF soln. After 60 min.[long dash]enamel remaining exposed continuously to the fluoride soln.[long dash]only slight changes took place, but no continuous increase or decrease.[long dash]Enamel is saturated with 3.6 times more fluorine than it originally contained. Keywords
