Abstract

Two crystalline antirachitic substances, vitamin D1 and D2 have been isolated from irradiated ergosterol. Both are isomers of ergosterol and exhibit about the same toxic properties in doses exceeding 0.05 mgm. Physical constants are given and the relation of D1 to Calciferol is discussed[long dash]E. P.
