Abstract
The appressorium of Colletotrichum graminicola is a dark, spore-like body, globular, pear-shaped or irregularly lobed, with one or two small, light areas. It usually contains two nuclei. Appressoria are formed at temperatures ranging from 15 to 35 °C. They can penetrate barley leaves only at a range of 25 to 30 °C. Appressoria which are formed at 15 or 20 °C remain dormant until exposed to the higher range of 25–30 °C.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
