Abstract
A case of severe electrolyte depletion associated with coma and convulsions and believed to be caused by the effects of chlorothiazide is presented. Since use of the thiazide diuretics is now widespread, this may be seen more frequently in the future if proper precautions are not taken. It is hoped that this report will help make physicians more aware that electrolyte depletion may be a cause of coma. Keywords
