Abstract
A self-contained instrument for the measurement of surface tension is described. A ground glass rod is used to pull up a meniscus from a liquid and the adhesion tension is measured. The readout is given directly in mN m-1 (or dyn cm-1) with an accuracy of measurement of +or-0.1 mN m-1.Keywords
