The variability of flat-spectrum radio sources at 962 MHz

Abstract
The variability of 50 flat-spectrum radio sources is examined over a 2½-yr period at 962 MHz. The results are compared with measurements on the same sources over a different 2½-yr period at 2700 MHz, and it is concluded the proportion (35–40 per cent) found variable at 962 MHz is at least as great as that at 2700 MHz. Measurements are also presented of the flux . densities of the variable radio sources BL Lac, OJ 287 and 3C 454.3 during 1972–76.
