Abstract
The ratio of incident electrons to electrons which participate in the multiplication process for continuous dynode electron multiplier arrays has been experimentally determined. For an array which had a geometrical transmission of 50%, it was found that 75% of the incident electron current reached the multiplication section of the array tubes. Of this percentage, 50% were considered to be initial electrons and the remaining 25% reflected or secondary electrons from the top electrode. Keywords
