Abstract
In spacecraft ground systems. Applications areas were screened to select a pilot development project which would provide a problem domain typical of systems being developed. The initial application selected was a simulator which models the actions and reactions to spacecraft attitude control systems. The particular spacecraft being represented was the Gamma Ray Observatory which will be launched in 1987. A team of developers had already been selected to develop the simulator in the heretofore primary language, FORTRAN. A separate team was selected to develop the same simulator in Ada [8]. By developing the same simulator in parallel in two languages, the goal is to study differences in the development cycle, design representation, error characteristics,This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
