Abstract
In recent years, as the need for detailed information about energy deposition in subcellular size sites has become apparent (e.g. Cox et al. 1977, Kellerer et al. 1980). considerable effort has been devoted by several groups with the aim of producing realistic Monte Carlo 'event by event' transport codes for low-energy electrons in water. In the light of the considerable body of experimental data on elastic scattering angular distributions in water vapour over a wide range of incident energies that have recently become available, the authors have decided to use a semi-empirical approach and if these data in a form suitable for use in Monte Carlo transport codes. Keywords
