Abstract
The effect of intravenous administration of glycopyrrolate and atropine shortly before induction were compared in a double blind study in children. The study shows that glycopyrrolate, unlike atropine, administered before anaesthesia had little effect on heart rate. The heart rate changes at, and following, tracheal intubation were similar in both groups. Keywords
