Abstract
A multiple net zooplankton sampler with 10 1-m2 nets was designed and built using the principles incorporated in the N.I.O. and the MOCNESS zooplankton samplers. The main differences between this net and others are the use of a depressor as part of the design of the sampler and the use of a ridge frame and cables to form the sampler body. The depressor enabled the sampler to be towed at speeds up to 6 knots while still maintaining a wire angle of < 45°.
