Abstract
In the quasi-Abelian approximation as well as in the large- limit sources in the adjoint representation cannot be screened. Nevertheless, the two phenomena are different because the string tension is proportional to the square root of the Casimir operator in the first case and to the Casimir operator itself in the second.
