Coulomb Excitation of Krypton

Using isotopically enriched samples, we have observed gamma-ray transitions in krypton from Coulomb excitation by 6.6- and 6.1-Mev alpha particles. The following energies were obtained for the first excited $2^{+}$ states; ${\mathrm{Kr}}^{78}$, 450 kev; ${\mathrm{Kr}}^{80}$, 620 kev; ${\mathrm{Kr}}^{82}$, 780 kev; and ${\mathrm{Kr}}^{84}$, 880 kev. No gamma radiation was observed for ${\mathrm{Kr}}^{83}$.
