Abstract
We have measured the differential elastic cross section in the four-momentum-transfer region of to 1.0 using neutron scatters obtained in a bubble chamber experiment at 3.5 GeV/c. The elastic cross section is similar to the cross section at this energy to the extent that both cross sections exhibit a diffraction peak and a dip at followed by a secondary peak. A comparison of and elastic scattering indicates a crossing of the two cross sections near the region of the dip. The results of this experiment suggest the presence of an , -channel exchange in scattering.
