Abstract
The origin of etch hillocks on the negative C-surface of LiNbO3 crystals has been investigated by means of optical and electron microscopy. From detailed observation on the hillocks, it has been concluded that the source of the hillocks is a reverse polarized needle-like microdomain lying parallel to the C-axis.Keywords
