Abstract
We report the effect of hydrostatic pressure on several cross-sectional areas of the Fermi surface of Mg. Pressure derivatives were obtained using the fluid-He phase-shift technique. The results differ significantly from the predictions of the free-electron model but are described quite well by a simple local-pseudopotential model. Keywords
