Abstract
Six groups of 20 Ss were selected from preschool, Grades 2, 5, 8, and 10, and college in order to explore the developmental changes in the learning of a size discrimination and in the transposition to a set of stimuli one step removed from the training pair. A decrease in learning trials was found through Grade 5, but a significant increase appeared following Grade 8. The incidence of transposition did not differ significantly among the groups. Keywords
