Abstract
β-Lofoline and fawcettiine are shown to be identical. Hydrolysis of bases from Lycopodiumfawcettii gave rise to lycofoline and a smaller amount of an α-obscurine like base. Milder extraction procedures afford four new bases, base M, C17H27NO2; base O, C20H31NO5; base K, which is acetylfawcettiine, C20H31NO4; and base, which is diacetyllycofoline, C20H29NO4. The isolation of fawcettiine from LycopodiumclavatumLinn. gathered in Jamaica is also reported. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
