Abstract
A fundamental problem in cosmic-ray physics is the production and propagation of Be. We have measured the cross section at 740 MeV for production in N(10.9 mb ± 6%), C(9.82 mb ± 6%), (4.17 mb ± 7%), and (6.28 mb ± 7%). The monitor reactions were C(,) = 29.9 mb ± 5% and the C(,) cross section listed above.
