Abstract
This paper describes the principles upon which acceptance trials are based. An outline is given of the procedures under which trials are held on computers bought for Government Office use. Some details of experience with such trials are given. The paper concludes with a discussion of possible improvements in the procedures which are suggested by this experience.Keywords
