Abstract
The continuity equation has been used to determine the diffusion coefficient of colour centres in potassium chloride crystals by observing the radial variation of absorption coefficient in an electrolytically coloured semicircular disk. It is deduced that the diffusion of F centres is governed by the self diffusion of K+ ions. Keywords
