Abstract
With the exception of relatively shallower depth of occurrence, the abundance and distribution of zeolites in Cretaceous rocks (chiefly lava flows and tuffs) of east-central Puerto Rico resemble the zeolite mineral facies of Triassic geosynclinal sediments of New Zealand. Development of the zeolites took place in permeable formations, indicating that pore solutions are essential to zeolitization. Keywords
