Abstract
We present a general method for normalizing nontrivial bound‐state wave functions. In particular, we consider explicit and formally complete asymptotic expansions of the solutions of the wave equation for an arbitrary quark confining power potential. The regular solution is identified and shown to be continuable to an eigensolution around a local minimum of the associated potential. The solutions are then normalized and used to derive explicit series expressions for certain decay rates. Keywords
