Abstract
Polarized anisotropic photoluminescence spectra are presented for the 4F−43/2 I11/2 transitions of YA1O3:Nd3+ and for the 4S3/2–4I9/2 transitions of YAlO3:Er3+. It is shown that differences in the individual linewidth are caused by different degrees of resonance between lattice phonons and sublevel spacings. This model is also successfully applied to Y3Al5O12:Nd.This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
