Abstract
Subconjunctival penicillin (500,000 U.in 0.5 ml. 1: 1000 epinephrin admd. 24-hourly is as potent in the treatment of hypopyon ulceration as smaller but more frequent doses, e.g., 50,000 U. 6-hourly. The eye tolerates the larger dose well. Retrobulbar injn. of penicillin in similar doses is of value although probably less efficient than by the subconjunctival route.Keywords
