Abstract
In order to lower the perinatal mortality rate, it is necessary to acquire a specific fetal diagnosis in all late abortions and stillbirths. A uniform classification for the maternal/fetal diagnosis is needed for comparison of progress in maternity care program between the different countries. We have studied 86 consecutive cases of late abortion and stillbirth at Viborg Hospital, Denmark, and made a comparison with the modified Aberdeen classification of fetal death. Keywords
