Abstract
A large-scale field experiment conducted in S. Carolina in 1954 indicated that aerial applications of granulated formulations of heptachlor, aldrin, dieldrin, toxaphene and chlordane to surface woods trash within 200 feet of wood''s borders considerably reduced populations of the overwintering Anthonomus grandis. A cage experiment demonstrated that a high kill of overwintering boll weevils could be obtained with applications of granulated BHC and dieldrin to surface woods trash. The BHC treatments resulted in significantly higher kill than dieldrin. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
