Abstract
The effects of malathion and its dithiolphosphate isomer on the glycolytic and Krebs-cycle enzymes of the albino mouse, of Periplaneta americana and of Musca domestica were examined. No substantial in vitro inhibition was observed. The insect enzymes were in general less sensitive than the mammalian. Therefore since insects are more susceptible to malathion than the mouse, poisoning is probably not related to carbohydrate metabolism. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
