Abstract
Separated pairs of adult S. mansoni find each other, mate and produce eggs in vitro. The frequency of mating events among worm pairs separated for as long as 72 h was significantly greater when cultured with their original partners than with nonoriginal partners (P < 0.001). The mating frequency also was greater within groups or worms whenever the group contained a male and female that had been partners originally. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
