Mast cells in cluster headache

Abstract
Temporal skin biopsies were performed in 6 cluster headache patients and controls. In biopsies, mast cells were examined by light microscopy and EM for possible deviations in number, distribution and morphology. Three patients were in a headache phase and 3 were in a headache-free interval. No differences between controls and patients were observed.
