Abstract
Establishing the diagnosis in patients with lower urinary tract symptoms is complicated. Several tests have been developed, but the importance of each of these tests in the diagnostic process is not well understood. This paper describes the methods used to evaluate diagnostic tests, ranging from traditional sensitivity and specificity to more sophisticated techniques such as logistic regression and neural networks. Keywords
