Abstract
Hong and Mandel’s concept of higher-order squeezing [Phys. Rev. Lett. 54, 323 (1985); Phys. Rev. A 32, 974 (1985)] is applied to the generalized multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model of a single two-level atom interacting with an initially coherent cavity-field mode. The fourth-order squeezing is examined. The field is shown to be intrinsically squeezed to this order for the photon multiple m≥4.Keywords
