Psychopharmacologic Drugs

Abstract
The need for the general physician to treat psychiatric disorders will continue to increase, and therefore he should know a great deal about the psychopharmacologic drugs. Treatment for schizophrenia is often easier than that for neurosis. Treatment of depression, the most common psychiatric disorder, is also well within the general physician's province. The basic psychopharmacologic agents are described, with attention given to the choice of drugs and drug regimens.
