Abstract
Of 127 turtles, representing 7 spp., collected in central Ohio, 4 were found to contain specimens of the trematode, M. ovatus. The new hosts are Chrysemys bellii marginata (2 specimens), Chelydra serpentina, and Graptemys geographica. The parasites were present in numbers from 1 specimen to over 500. All previous host records have been from fish.
