Abstract
The heat resistance of E. coli depends on the temperature of incubation prior to heat treatment at 50.degree. C. This dependence is affected by the fatty acid composition in bacterial membranes. The results are discussed in relation to the change in fluidity of membrane lipids. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
