Abstract
It is often assumed that simple reaction time and accidonts are closely related. But little is known about the relation between the perception of danger and avoidance of accidents. Investigation of these two aspects has boon confused by the difficulty of simulating danger in experimental studies. In this report a method of simulating danger is described; anil the relation between simple reaction time and perception of danger in the task is examined. No connection was found between simple reaction time and tho accident records of the subjects or the nature of the task performed. A relation was found between accident records and the perception of danger. Keywords
