Abstract
A case of osteosarcoma affecting the 3rd metatarsal bone is described. Below-knee amputation was performed but the patient developed pulmonary metastases and died 1 yr after the operation. The 6 cases of osteosarcoma in the metatarsal bones published so far are reviewed. The prognosis for cases with this localization does not differ from that for osteosarcoma in general. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
