Abstract
Chenodeoxycholic acid treatment of gall stones in patients is not as revolutionary as was hoped when it became clear that it was possible to dissolve gall stones in vivo, but it has been of great importance. This therapy acted as a catalyst for research in this field, and it seems possible that a bile acid derivative may be found which in very small doses can make bile unsaturated and used for prevention of stone formation in high-risk groups. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
