Abstract
The authors describe a patient with psoriatic arthritis in whom an increased level of F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-18 FDG) uptake was seen in the joints of the hands. The areas of increased activity correlated well with the regions of symptoms reported by the patient. This case illustrates the potential use of F-18 FDG positron emission tomography to quantitatively assess the degree of arthritis activity. Keywords
