Abstract
THIS report is concerned with aureomycin∥ in the treatment of patients with pancreatic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis of the pancreas).1 2 3 Numerous advances in the understanding of the nature of the disease, development of diagnostic procedures and clinical management have been made in a series of correlated studies carried out at the Boston Children's Hospital.4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 The common notion that this is a rare disease and that the immediate prognosis is always poor is no longer tenable.
